چکیده

Intestinal infections have always been and remain an urgent problem in medicine. Often bloody diarrhea (hemocolitis) is the first manifestation of hemolytic-uremic syndrome (HUS), characterized by triad microangiopathic hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia, acute kidney injury. Treatment supportive, hemodialysis needs list treatment. There are no specific criteria for determining when to start sessions if HUS diagnosed. The article presents cases was started various stages duration HUS. Based on literary sources our experience, we believe that specifically case syndrome: Considering expected results, starting (invasive manipulation) as soon diuresis decreases (the amount urine secreted within six hours ≤ 0.5 ml/kg) provides more benefits than manipulation after „traditional“ (life threatening findings) indications dialysis. In case, this way managing patient much less stressful, significantly cost-effective successful.

Consequences of hemolytic uremic syndrome among hemodialysis patients

BACKGROUND Hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS) is characterized by hemolytic anemia, low platelets, and renal impairment and is mediated by thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA). A common perception is that HUS becomes dormant in dialysis patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD). We analyzed patients in a large dialysis organization to understand the potential consequences and burden of HUS. METHO...

Atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome

Atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS) is a thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA) characterized by microangiopathic hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia, and acute renal failure. Most cases of aHUS are caused by uncontrolled complement activation due to genetic mutations in the alternative pathway of complement. More recently, mutations in the gene of coagulation system have also been identified in...

Atypical Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome

Hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS) is a triad of microangiopathic hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia, and acute renal failure. The atypical form of HUS is a disease characterized by complement overactivation. Inherited defects in complement genes and acquired autoantibodies against complement regulatory proteins have been described. Incomplete penetrance of mutations in all predisposing genes is r...

below), the emphasis for differentiating HUS from TTP has shifted from the pattern of clinical involvement to the presence or absence of the enzyme deficiency. It is now suggested that the diagnosis of TTP should be used to describe only those patients who have this enzyme deficiency; while patients without the enzyme deficiency should be labeled as suffering from HUS.4 ETIOLOGY AND PATHOGENESI...
